Your email, and nothing else
A plain account of what happens when you enter your address on this site.
What we collect
When you submit a signup form, we store four things:
- The email address you typed, lowercased so a repeat signup does not create a second record.
- Which page and form you used, for example
home:hero. - The exact consent wording that was shown under the field.
- The date and time you submitted it.
The consent wording shown on the form reads: No spam. We only use your email to send the brief · Data Privacy Act
What we do not collect
- No IP address, device or browser details.
- No tracking identifiers, advertising pixels or third-party analytics.
- No cookies for signup. Your address is not shared, sold or used for anything else.
Why we hold it
To send you the weekly brief you asked for. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), we rely on your consent, given when you press the signup button. You can withdraw it at any time.
What we send
One email each Monday: what changed in the El Niño outlook, what it means for water, food, power and heat, and where each number came from. Nothing else. No marketing, no partner offers.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe. After that your record is marked unsubscribed and you will not receive another brief. You can ask us to delete the address completely and we will.
How to stop
Use the unsubscribe page — enter your address and it is removed from the weekly send in one step. The same link appears in every email.
Where it is stored
In our own content system, which runs on Cloudflare's network. The list is not readable from the public site: only the people who run PanahonPH can open it.
